It’s been a long 3 years since we held a January Vision event in person, but we were back at Chesford Grange in Kenilworth this week – exactly where we were only a few months before the Pandemic took hold and changed the world as we know it.
Chairman Perry Ashby welcomed us to the room on Day 1, sharing business updates and inspiring us to make the most of what was coming up.
Our Inspire Partners: Datto, Ingram Micro, Pax8, Pia, Quickpass, and Threatlocker, took to the stage to pitch their afternoon workshops to Members. Before they all headed into their first set of workshops.
Pax8 were joined by two NG Members discussing their experience with Pax8, and how Members can get the most out of the relationship. Pia introduced themselves to the Group, sharing how they’re bringing true automation to MSPs and looking to the future. Threatlocker showed a live-hack demonstration and what Members can do to protect against physical threat.
After a quick coffee break, Members headed into the second set of workshops. The Datto team had a fast-paced session all about driving business results with Security, Networking, and BCDR discussing how Members can grow their MSP with Kaseya & Datto. Ingram Micro were sharing their latest news, a not to be missed update from Microsoft, and benefits from Google Chrome and Adobe. New Partner Quickpass introduced themselves to the Group, and shared why Members should make the most of their Privileged Access Management suite.

In the evening we sat down for our networking dinner, catching up and enjoying a few drinks. Our Inspire, Accelerate, and Engage Partners joined us, with a packed room including delegates from: AppRiver, bvoip, ConnectWise, Datto, Egnyte, Giganet, Inbay, Inforcer, Ingram Micro, Marketopia, Pax8, Pia, Quickpass, SCG, Sophos, Terra, Threatlocker, and Uptime Solutions.
We were joined later on by Indeedy Musical Bingo – inflatable dinosaurs and toastie makers were an unusual addition to the norm of a Network Group event, but brought a lot of laughs and a great way to wind down for the evening!
Back on track for Day 2, Perry welcomed us back in the room before handing over to Julian Thompson of Ingram Micro for his ‘State of the Nation’ update, sharing what’s going on in the world of Tech and what’s coming up.
Our Accelerate Partners: AppRiver, ConnectWise, Egnyte, Epson, Inbay, Sophos, Terra, and new partner Uptime Solutions, joined the room for a speed-dating style quick fire roundtable with the Members, giving Partners the chance to present to the Group in bitesize sessions.
Moving into the ‘Outlook for 2023 Panel’, MD David Tulip was joined on stage by Members: Allison Cooney, Technical Director of Sync IT, Melissa Rambridge, CEO of Sweethaven Computers, Dave Kerr, MD of VBT, and Steffan Dancy, MD of Rydal Group. They discussed the biggest challenges &opportunities facing MSPs in 2023, the economy & inflation, leadership and recruitment & retention challenges.
After lunch we had headed into the afternoon breakout sessions, with Giganet sharing market insights & opportunity, and how they’re bringing together major infrastructures to support the Channel. Inforcer were helping Members increase their MSP margins through Microsoft 365 utilisation, and sharing how they can assist with reduce MSP resource expenditure. The MSP Finance Team ran a guided workshop on how to add over 100kannual profit without finding a single new client, and went through a practical exercise exploring the levers to increase gross margin.
Chris Blunt and Mostyn Thomas joined us once again for part two of their Cyber Essentials Mythbusters session, sharing with Members common reasons why customers fail Cyber Essentials and what they can do about it. NG Member Steven Lightfoot shared with Members how his business approaches selling comms as an IT Business through TTG Telco, general tips & tricks, and pitfalls to avoid.
Finally, to end the day our Keynote Speaker, Martine Wright, the most injured survivor of the 7/7 bombings, joined us to share an important message on positivity. She shared the story of her remarkable fight for recovery and rehabilitation and how she developed and adopted the ‘Power of 7’ to provide resilience, positivity, structure and new purpose into her much-changed world. In these challenging times, her story of positivity and resilience is ever more powerful.
