The Network Group Exhibition, Gala & Awards is a place for Members, Partners, and the wider Channel community to get together to learn, share, and celebrate the successes of the past year.
Each year at this event, we partner with a chosen charity to raise awareness for their cause, and raise vital funds to continue their mission. We are delighted to announce our partnership with Zarach, The Children’s Bed Charity, supporting their work to eradicate child bed poverty in the UK.
Zarach was founded in 2018 by Deputy Head Teacher Bex Wilson after a conversation with a 10-year-old boy in her class who told her he was always tired because he didn’t have a bed. Unable to access any services through her school network to help this child and his siblings, and after a deep dive into the prevalence of this issue, Zarach was born.
Fast forward to 2025, Zarach has delivered more than 12,000 beds to children across England experiencing bed poverty, in areas of highest need. Partnering with schools, who can identify the signs and symptoms of bed poverty, make a referral, and ultimately give each child the opportunity to engage at school, and break the cycle of poverty.
“Beds have become a luxury item for hundreds of thousands of families, who face the devastating decision to pay for food and fuel, or to buy their child a bed,” says Bex. “Bed poverty exists when a family doesn’t have the sleeping arrangements they need for their children due to a lack of financial resources*. For children in this situation, it has a significant impact on their education.”
Each child referred to Zarach receives a brand new bed and mattress, a warm duvet and pillow, bed sheets and cosy pyjamas, for just £150. Together we can give #EveryHeadABed
Network Group’s General Manager, Simon West, said “We’re thrilled to be supporting Zarach at our annual Gala this year. With Network Group’s rich history of giving, we hope the role we play will truly make a difference both financially and in raising wider awareness of the fantastic work Zarach does in changing children’s lives for the better.”
