It was like no time at all had passed.
We were back in Brighton for the 12th annual Network Group Exhibition, Gala & Awards this week, catching up with old friends, peers, and partners, and welcoming lots of new faces into the fold.
We started out on Tuesday afternoon with a peer-led roundtable facilitated by members Scott Clark of Think Cloud and Michael Morgan of Morgan & Morgan, before heading into a security focus group with partners ConnectWise, and an evening in the bar catching up.
The big day finally arrived and Chairman Perry Ashby welcomed everyone back into the room with NG Business updates, followed by an introduction from our headline sponsors Ingram Micro, and a keynote from the actionable futurist Andrew Grill. Chris Atkinson led us through a session on how to make a good team great, and off into focus sessions we went. Partners Ingram Micro, Datto, and TechInsure were up first, followed by ConnectWise, Pax8, and TTG Telco with Gamma.
A quick stop for lunch and networking and the exhibition was open! Partners from across the tech channel joined us to share their solutions and products, and network with the best in the channel.
After much anticipation, the Gala & Awards finally arrived. Once again, Chairman Perry Ashby welcomed us to the room and introduced our chosen charity partners for the event, Andy’s Man Club. AMC were a particularly relevant charity this year, with many people struggling through various lockdowns, lack of interaction, and seismic change in all aspects of life. We’d like to thank all of our members and partners who donated raffle and auction prizes, everyone who took part in Heads & Tails, donated, and bid. Your enormous generosity will provide truly life-saving services for Andy’s Man Club.
We enjoyed some entertainment from magician Ben Hanlin, with many a jaw left open in shock at his tricks and talents! How did that juice get in the can?
