Network Group (NBG Ltd) would like to announce that Wayne Cockerill, Chairman of the Group for over 15 years, is stepping down from his position at the end of May 2018.

With over fifteen years in the role, Wayne, who held the position of Chairman and Financial Director for the Group and its 2 other companies, has driven stability and growth with its membership, through many of the industry’s challenges leading it into the magnificent Group we see today.  Starting from an Executive only team, to one that now boasts its own established team, the birth of Technology To Go and a controlling shareholder of Inventory Hub and now with over 70 of the UK & Ireland’s leading IT companies that engage from Retail, Business to Business and Education through to, Managed Print Specialists and Managed Service Providers the breadth of specialisms the group has makes it the leading group in the industry.

Phyl Morgan, the Group’s Managing Director said “This is a significant announcement for all at Network Group. Wayne has played a huge, vital and pivotal role in building the Network Group to its present position and established it as the Channel’s leading Networking Group in the history of the industry. His contribution to the Group and our channel will resonate for many years.”

Having set the foundation and strength for the next chapter of this Group’s phenomenal success, Wayne steps down to concentrate more of his time in his own IT and Software companies.  That Group foundation, with more recent appointments to the team, set the group on its charge to continue its focused growth and development, in the services and business opportunities it provides to its members, Vendors and Distributors alike.

Wayne said, “It has been a great honour and a privilege to have led this organisation for all those years and to have had such a close and intense collaboration with those I have had the pleasure to work with. I would like to thank, amongst others, the Group’s Executives I have worked with over the years, and of course the team and the membership for the support afforded me.  The fantastic relationship I have developed with the members, our vendors and distributors has been magnificent but also humbling.  Of all my professional experiences, this has certainly been one of the most enriching and challenging to date.  I leave the group at the end of May, in a fantastic position to take the next steps in its development.  It is time for someone else to experience that same honour in leading the Group, whilst I will have great pride as I watch it grow from strength to strength, knowing the key part I have played.”
