The Network Group Summer Festival 2020

In response to the Coronavirus pandemic, our upcoming Momentum event has been rearranged in the form virtual webinars.  Our virtual program of events will run over 10 days, from 2nd – 15th July. Featuring 10+ sessions to choose from (one per day) plus an exciting keynote and culminating in a fun, team-building event.  We’re doing our best to maintain a sense of normality by taking the best bits from our in-person events and providing a place for inspiration, a platform for collaboration and an opportunity to learn.  In addition to the weekly COVID-19 community calls, we’ve launched a couple more formats to enable the community to keep learning and growing, even if we can’t do it in person. These are:

A continuation of our workshop programme that you’d usually see at our in-person events, just online.  Expect updates from our partners that can add real value to your business, including what support is available from vendors right now.

Talks & Q+A’s with guest speakers covering the key topics you’ve told us you want to hear about with an emphasis on peer learning & business improvement – work-from-home, how to market your business, planning for a sustainable future in the ‘new normal’.

Think of this as your opportunity to network from your own living room! We’ll send you out into small groups where you’ll get the chance to meet up to 4 different partners and hear a 10-minute overview of the current opportunities

Smaller breakout groups/roundtables with a specific topic/problem/challenge to discuss with your peers – a chance to get to know people, have a chat but also share knowledge & get better together.

Tribal Leader – The Tech Tribe

Jules White is an awards winning international sales consultant with over 30 years of business and sales experience. Working in many different sectors selling everything from baby products to stainless steel to Yellow Pages. She has also experienced every job role within sales, from telesales through to Sales Director and has a wonderful breadth of knowledge and experience to bring to her work.

Her passion and mission is to bring a new outlook and perception to sales in the modern business age we live in, which will help you to truly be unique.

Senior Director, Advanced Solutions – Ingram Micro 

Having first joined Ingram Micro in 1995 as an Account Manager, going on to become Sales Director 2005 – 2014 and again 2016 to present,Julian has been instrumental in supporting the launch of Ingram Micro’s Advanced Solutions division in 2013, assuming the role of Senior Director of Advanced Solutions.

As a strong sales professional with an all-encompassing experience of having worked on reseller and vendor side as well, Julian is skilled in Negotiation, Sales, Consumer Electronics, Professional Services, and Enterprise Solutions, continually delivering exceptional results for Ingram Micro UK. Julian holds a BSC in Psychology and Law.

Mark started an IT support Company Shield Technologies in 2002. It soon became apparent that the language and connection between most IT companies and their customers was non-existent and he wanted to change that. Marks passions grew into developing the right culture in order to provide excellent customer services.

Mark later merged the company with the newly formed GreenCity Solutions, providing not only IT, but telecoms products and services. GreenCity Solutions grew quickly through acquisition to over 40 team members. GreenCity Solutions was sold in December 2018. Mark now wants to empower other business owners to use the proven lessons and tools he has learnt to ensure all businesses have a solid foundation from which to grow.

Director of Marketing, EMEA – Datto

Alan is a passionate marketing leader with 20 years’ experience working for some of the worlds leading technology companies. Cisco, Juniper Networks, VCE (acquired by Dell technologies) CyberArk Security software, Computer Associates, IDG and VNU. Alan leads the EMEA Marketing function for Datto, the world’s leading provider of MSP delivered IT Solutions. Alan’s core principle is “marketing that translates the value of technology,” this principle guides him in helping MSP’s and IT Channel Partners being seen as time-to-value providers for small, medium and enterprise business that rely on technology to run and enhance their customers experiences in daily business.

Director of EMEA Strategy

Christian is the director of EMEA strategy at Datto, working to define and execute the company’s rapid expansion in EMEA. Christian qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers before entering the world of small-company tech, becoming Commercial Director at data protection start-up Attix5. In 2007 he co-founded CentraStage, a cloud-based unified endpoint management platform, now re-badged to Datto RMM and the leading RMM platform globally for MSPs. Christian studied at the University of Nottingham.

Business Development Director, EMEA – Datto

As Business Development Director, EMEA, Greg is responsible for expanding and driving the success of Datto’s partner program and unique MSP ecosystem across the region. With over 20 years of experience in the IT sector, Greg has extensive knowledge in expertly managing the development of technology and business processes.

Prior to joining Datto in October 2019, Greg was CTO for a large managed service provider in the Northwest of England. Greg started his management career in IT for the public sector after securing a senior IT management position within the local authority, and later went on to private consultancy for central government.

Greg’s passion extends to his community where he serves as Business Ambassador for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, whose mission is to support the young patients, families and the staff at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.

Senior Product Specialist – Datto

Adam heads the sales enablement for Datto’s Continuity Portfolio across EMEA, spending most of his time presenting at both Datto’s internal events and partner events. The focus of his career to-date has been protecting and enabling SMB’s through channel partnerships, in the delivery of education and technology. Over the past 9 years he has worked in the technology sector, he spent the first 6 years with Fujitsu and joined Datto in 2016, progressing through Sales, Sales Management to his current position. He is driven by the motivation and success of our staff and partners, as well as a keen snowboarder and motorcyclist.

Kev Johns

Back by popular demand, the acclaimed actor and much sought after presenter and author, Kev Johns joins us once again for a night to remember!

A lifelong emissary for Wales and all things Welsh, Kev was honoured to receive the MBE from Her Majesty the Queen for services to charity in Wales and the Ambassador for Swansea Award from the South Wales Evening Post.

Kev is one of the UK’s busiest comperes and stage performers, with a career spanning decades. From drama, musicals, stand-up and presenting – he is also considered to be one of the world of Pantomime’s Top Dames!

Kev is a weekly columnist for The South Wales Evening Post, is an active fundraiser and Patron of several local charities.

DMR Account Manager, UK&I – Panda Security

Paul Chesterfield has been working in IT Security with Panda Security since 2005 adopting a variety of roles, most recently as a member of the channel key accounts team.
Working alongside key Panda Security partners, Paul applies his wealth of experience, to identify client requirements in order to improve their cyber-resilience while maintaining the agile operations, required in the current working environment to protect users and devices from all cyberthreats.
Empowering partners to identify their clients’ needs and deliver appropriate solutions as part of a complete security lifecycle, enables partner to increase loyalty through value-add security services.

Sales Director – UK&I – WatchGuard

Jon-Marc has been working within the IT Channel for 23-years and most recently joined WatchGuard in 2010 to raise awareness of the risks posed by cyber criminals. Recently there has been an increasing requirement to guide partners through a process of transformation, from value added reseller to Managed Security Provider. Enabling the UK channel to adopt a managed approached to security, has resulted in a tremendous growth within our partner community, whilst improving our customers security posture; protecting them against the increasing levels advanced threats.

Marketing Director – Inbay

Inbay Ltd appoints new Marketing Director, Frances Moore in June 2020. Moore joins from UK based MSP, Taylor Made Computer Solutions and Peach Technologies where she was Group Marketing Manager. Moore’s background in marketing includes 12 years of experience, marketing high-end leading brands, streamlining business processes and implementing core controls to ensure success in both the sales and marketing teams. Her knowledge and expertise from an MSP standpoint are invaluable to the Inbay team.

Head of Sales – Inbay

Paul has well over a decade of experience in business development. During this time, he has worked on both sides of the Atlantic, with a wide range of prospects, clients, products and services providing a well-rounded understanding of what works and
perhaps more importantly, what doesn’t!

Managing Director – Aura Technology

Tim is an entrepreneur and business leader in the technology sector, with over 20 years of experience in managed services. Tim founded and then sold Iconnyx, a successful IT MSP. He also ran Taylor Made Computer Solutions and led the transformation of the business to a leading MSP company in the UK. Tim launched Aura Technology in 2017, growing organically and through acquisition to an £11m pa MSP.

Channel Director UKI – SonicWall

Mike is a channel sales professional with 20 years’ experience of implementing, managing, and scaling channel business models across  Europe for start-ups, medium and large sized cyber security and infrastructure management vendors. For the last 7 years, Mike has held the position of Channel Sales Director for UK & Ireland.

Strategic Partner Manager – Sonicwall

Stephen is an experienced channel sales professional with more than 30 year experience in the tech industry and currently leads strategic partner relationships for SonicWall in North EMEA.

David Benford is managing director of Blackstage Forensics in the UK. He has worked in DFIR and OSINT as an investigator since 2007 and his specialist field is around privacy & security vulnerabilities from online data and mobile devices. He has worked with numerous clients from broadcasting & entertainment and public & private sectors, as well as having trained hundreds of others around OSINT and Dark Web investigations.
